Join thousands of others and get the latest Scottish politics news sent straight to your inbox.Unpaid carers in Scotland are being encouraged to come forward for vaccination against coronavirus, Jeane Freeman has announced.From Monday March 15 a new service is being launched for unpaid carers to register themselves for the jab.The Health Secretary said: “You’re eligible if you’re aged between 16 and 64, and provide regular face-to-face care for a family member or friend who may have a disability, physical or mental ill health, a developmental condition, frailty or substance misuse.”Freeman encouraged carers to get in touch with a new service allowing carers to register themselves for the vaccine.
