Newcastle United's proposed takeover deal is set to be given the green light and is now understood to be in the hands of the Premier League.
The Saudi-backed consortium's £300m takeover of the Premier League side has been rumbling on for weeks but now appears to be closing in on completion.
The Premier League will reportedly give the green light for the Amanda Staveley and take control once the transfer of funds to current owner Mike Ashley is completed.
Newcastle have refused to comment on all enquiries throughout the process, but it's understood that the group looking to broker a buy out of the Magpies remain confident that the test will pass.
