Ayrshire have been forced to perform a U-turn over their vaccine rollout – after falling behind with their schedule. A total of 38 centres were timetabled to open around the county this month.But most were not set to start operating until the middle of February at the earliest.

And on any given day, only three or four venues were set to be dishing out jags around Ayrshire.Indeed, South Ayrshire was set to run with no appointments at all on February 11 and 12.A similar picture was emerging in both East and North Ayrshire, with only one venue timetabled to operate on each day.
