A much-loved frontline health worker and devoted father and husband has died with Covid aged 52. Dax Daantos, 52, was described by his devastated widow as a 'selfless, loving father and husband' after his death with coronavirus on Tuesday.

In a heartbreaking tribute she said the 'hero' NHS worker died unexpectedly despite being healthy before catching the disease.

Mr Daantos, a Filipino churchgoer, keen cyclist, and father to two children, Jozeph, 15, and Daxene, 12, was a 'dedicated' orthopaedic implant co-ordinator at Charing Cross Hospital.

His wife Agunias-Daantos, a neo-natal nurse who worked alongside her husband, now says her family feels 'broken' by his death.
