Some NHS nurses and doctors have urged the public to avoid taking part in the new Clap for Heroes initiative - and instead simply follow coronavirus restrictions.
Millions of Brits embraced the weekly Clap for Carers tradition during the first lockdown, with the event now set to return at 8pm tonight.
