The Department of Health in Northern Ireland has said 74 new cases of Covid-19 have been identified. There has also been one further death confirmed in the past 24 hours.
The person who died is understood to have been under 40 years of the age. The total number of deaths in Northern Ireland from Covid-19 now stands at 558 while the total number of confirmed cases is 6,299, with 242 people testing positive in the last seven days.
Health Minister Robin Swann said the number of close contacts linked to positive cases "has more than doubled since July". In a statement today, he said: "This rise may be attributed to the easing of lockdown measures, but may also be explained by relaxing of attitudes to social distancing." He urged people to
