Number of patients with Covid-19 in hospital tops 400

Latest figures show there are over 400 people in hospital with Covid-19. As of 8am, there were 402 people being treated for the virus, an increase of two on the same time yesterday.

Of these, 75 patients are in intensive care units. Yesterday, the Department of Health reported 1,358 new cases of Covid-19.

The Health Protection Surveillance Centre said that 373 people aged 15 and over were admitted to ICUs with Covid-19 between 1 April and 2 October.
