Online supermarket shoppers reveal the worst substitutes they have been given from Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury's

Online shopping has become increasingly more popular since the coronavirus lockdown was introduced. Shoppers can have their shopping delivered straight to their home or select items for click and collect, without even having to leave their sofa.

However, not everything is quite up to speed just yet. Due to the panic buying back in March and high demand for certain items, some of the things ordered online are not always available.

Some supermarkets offer substitutions if stock is not available, instead of leaving it off the order altogether. Most of the time the substitutions work out alright, but on some occasions they can be a bit silly.
