PHILADELPHIA - A man is fighting for his life after he was shot in the back in the head in West Philadelphia. The shooting happened just after 1 a.m. Sunday on the 200 block of North Wanamaker Street. Police say they found the 40-year-old man suffering from the gunshot wound to the head and he was rushed to a local hospital.

James Blunt in their latest effort to repel protesters who are camped outside of parliament.The demonstrators, who are angry at COVID-19 vaccine mandates, have been blocking the streets of the country’s capital, Wellington, since Tuesday (February 8).Tactics used by the local authorities to try and get rid of the protesters have included turning on the water sprinklers on the lawn where they camped. ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Health officials in Orange County are working to contain what they’re calling a “significant outbreak” of COVID-19 at an assisted living facility in Ocoee.Dr. Raul Pino, with the Florida Department of Health in Orange County, said during a news conference Thursday afternoon that 66 residents and 30 staff members at Ocoee Health Center have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.“I would like to let you know that we have a significant outbreak that we are following in an assisted living facility and we have some concerns,” Pino said.Pino said of the residents infected, 22 have been hospitalized for concerns related to the virus.Dr.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Orange County Health Officer Dr. Raul Pino said local officials are working to recruit 100 people for contact tracing to limit the spread of COVID-19.The contact tracers will be reaching out to people who have tested positive for the virus and see who they have been in contact with.Money for the new positions came from funding from the state and county.Pino said said he thinks the pay for the position goes from $13 an hour to $23 an hour.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings said the county will work with the Florida Department of Health to crack down on targeting “bad actors” among businesses who are not complying with executive orders put in place to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.“We will be putting together some strike teams that will be going out into the community, to ensure that we get better compliance from the businesses with the executive orders and the other CDC directives that have been put in place,” Demings said Thursday during a news conference.The mayor said strike teams will be deployed to businesses where complaints have been received and other businesses in general to make sure they are complying with the county mask mandate
