A parole hearing for a rapist who beat and drugged his victim while holding her captive for 12 hours will take place in private, the Parole Board has said.
Carmarni Crawford, 31, was jailed for 12 years with six years on licence in 2015 for the harrowing attack at a flat in Macclesfield, Cheshire.
He sent a series of text messages to his sister bragging about the crime, a court was told when he was previously sentenced.
Crawford forced his victim to take a large amount of prescription medication in a bid to keep her drugged for two days until a post office opened, so he could steal money from her account, but she managed to escape when he fell asleep. Try MEN Premium now with our amazing New Year offer...
