The father-of-four - who shares two kids with NHS doctor wife Emily - is having to face the fact that his kids are too aware of the current situation and what symptoms to keep a watchful eye on.

Writing in his new! mag column, Peter, 47, reflected on the sad moment he realised his son is too aware of the current risks.

He wrote: "There are so many terrible things going on right now and the other day something happened that made me really sad and brought home the situation that we’re in." He went on: "Theo coughed and said, 'I need to have a corona test'.
