PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia officials have announced a vaccine mandate that impacts indoor dining establishments.
The mandate is in direct response to sharply rising COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations.The mandate will require patrons and workers in indoor dining establishments to show proof of vaccination or have a negative COVID-19 test taken within 24 hours.Health Commissioner Cheryl Bettigole confirmed the mandate Monday that the mandate will begin January 3rd as she explained that the city doesn't want to make restaurants suffer anymore.
The mandate applies to any place that sells food or drink and makes it so that anyone who enters must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
