Saskatchewan is reeling after one of the worst mass killings in recent Canadian history unfolded in two villages northeast of Saskatoon on Sunday.At least 10 people are dead and 15 are injured following a slew of stabbings in 13 locations on James Smith Cree Nation and in Weldon. PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Police Department has launched an investigation after a woman was struck by a car and left in the street in Lawncrest. According to police, the incident occurred around 11:45 p.m. on Monday night. The woman, 31, was struck by a vehicle while crossing the 5700 block of Rising Sun Avenue, authorities say. Chief Inspector Scott Small says when police and medics arrived on scene, they found her face down and bleeding with face trauma and a broken arm. Medics rushed her to the hospital and she is expected to survive, according to officials. Witnesses told investigators that the car was moving so fast that they could not tell the model or color of the vehicle, Small says. According to police, the woman was walking to her car to get dog training pads from her parked car when she was struck. The dog training pads could be seen spread out in the street after the woman was struck and one of her sneakers remained in the road, police say. Police say the woman was crossing the street to get dog training pads when she was struck by a speeding vehicle.

PHILADELPHIA - A house where more than 150 one-gallon jugs filled with gasoline were found has caught on fire - the second time in the past several months.The jugs were reportedly found when police were called to the 100 block of North 59th Street Monday for complaints of a strong smell of gas.Upon entering the abandoned West Philadelphia home, officials say 154 one-gallon milk jugs full of gasoline were piled inside.On Tuesday morning, fire crews responded to the same home for a reported fire.SkyFOX was live over the scene where firefighters could be seen working on the scorched home, as well as its neighbor.FOX 29's Steve Keeley reports that the jugs were safely removed from house Monday night.This is reportedly the second time a fire has broken out inside the house.

PHILADELPHIA - There have been over 750 carjackings in Philadelphia through the first seven months of the year, according to data obtained by FOX 29 from a law enforcement source.The report found that of the 758 total carjackings in Philadelphia between the start of 2022 and July 31, more than 500 involved a gun and over 500 happened when the victim's vehicle was parked. More than 90 delivery drivers have been carjacked in Philadelphia so far this year, and over 30 ride share drivers have been victims. Carjackings that happened while the vehicle was stopped occurred more than 50 times, according to the data first reported by FOX 29's Steve Keeley. Thefts that happened at a gas station, when the vehicle was left running or during an accident combined to account for nearly 60 carjackings.
