AUBURNDALE, Fla. - A Polk County homeowner shot and killed a person who was breaking into his home, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.It happened early Saturday morning on Ellie Road in the unincorporated area of Auburndale.According to Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, two couples went out Friday evening and returned to the victim’s home around 4 a.m.

Saturday morning. Shortly after returning to the victim’s home, one of the couples began arguing. The argument got heated and the two men left the home and the two women stayed in the home, according to Judd.Deputies said the men drove down the street and the man who got into an argument with his girlfriend decided to go back to the home and get her.
