Three separate opinion polls today show the gap is narrowing between Labour and the Tories amid the coronavirus crisis. Support for Boris Johnson's party slipped while Keir Starmer strengthened Labour's position after a series of controversies for the government.
The PM faces scrutiny over easing lockdown despite hundreds of new deaths a day; as well as the failure to roll out a test and trace mobile app yet, and the death toll in care homes.
All three polls still put the Tories ahead of Labour - but on a narrower margin. Opinium said the gap had narrowed from four points to three, with Labour on 40% and Conservatives on 43%.
