NHS Lanarkshire has moved to reassure pregnant women after fears they could come into contact with coronavirus at Douglas Street Clinic in Hamilton.Potential coronavirus patients will not come into contact with other patients using the health board's coronavirus assessment centres as they will use a separate door and will be kept in their car or patient transport until they are told to come in.
On Tuesday, April 14, the health board announced that two COVID-19 assessment centres had been set up, one at the Douglas Street Clinic - where community midwives carry out antenatal appointments - and the other at Airdrie Community Health Centre.
