Primary school forced to close after Covid outbreak leaves just two teachers

Last week we reported how St Luke's Primary in Heywood had to close amid 'staffing issues' because of the pandemic. And in Oldham, Horton Mill Primary School in Glodwick closed to all pupils after positive cases involving pupils and staff in several year groups.

Mrs Horrocks said the decision to shut the Salford school had not been taken lightly. She added: "This has been an extremely difficult decision for governors to take but I’m sure you will understand that the safety of your children must come first.
