Eccles has been sent home after a classmate tested positive for the virus.The student began experiencing symptoms six days prior and began staying home from school on September 30, the school has confirmed.The pupil was then tested over the weekend.
The results coming back positive shortly after and the school was informed on Tuesday morning.Two hours after the report of a positive test result was made to the school, all pupils who were determined to be close contacts to the case were separated and place in the sports hall, the headteacher has told the Manchester Evening News .The children's parents and carers were then called.
