Prince Charles has told how he is desperate to hug his family and friends once again when the coronavirus crisis is over. The Prince of Wales revealed how he has enjoyed "doing the Facetime" with his grandchildren but confessed he was “very sad” at not being able to see them in person.

The heir said he would normally be looking forward to seeing his father, Prince Philip, on his birthday next week, when the Duke of Edinburgh will turn 99, but did not know when they would be reunited.
