Prince Harry and Meghan Markle quitting as senior royals does not seem to have added to Prince William and Kate's workload, despite bombshell claims to the contrary.
An unnamed friend of the couple had previously told Tatler magazine the Cambridges aren't able to be as hands-on with their three children because they are "picking up the slack".
But these claims have been strongly denied by Kensington Palace. And that denial is backed up by stats – comparing the number of engagements the William and Kate carried out in the first quarter of 2020 compared to the same period last year.
Between January and March 2020 Prince Wills carried out 44 engagements, one more than he did in the same period in 2019 and Kate's actually fell from 35 to 29.
