The Government only ever field tested its own failed coronavirus tracing app, despite having now opted for a different Apple-Google design, a minister claims.
Health Secretary Matt Hancock said earlier this week the Tories had "backed both horses" since May and had been able to "test both" before scrapping the NHSX one.
However, speaking on Thursday's Question Time, former Conservative Party chairman James Cleverly said only the in-house app was ever tested on the Isle of the Wight.
