The SPFL are on to a promise with money man James Anderson but punters are already either spending the cash or wondering what the deal will cost them.
The Edinburgh fund manager and Hearts fan has pledged a couple of million to help clubs through the coronavirus crisis – but it could end up like weans at a wedding scramble. John Williams, Paris, said: “I don’t think that the money offered by James Anderson is enough to save all 42 clubs in the SPFL.
It would be better kept as an emergency fund to be used by the clubs who really need it. “Clubs like Celtic and Rangers and other big clubs in the Premiership don’t need this money.
