Swedish flat pack furniture giant Ikea reopened its doors for the first time in more than 60 days on Monday, drawing crowds in their thousands.

Dedicated shoppers told the Mirror they'd been queueing since 5:30am - while some even packed camping chairs to get them through the five mile queues in sweltering 24-degree heat.

The chain's reopening will be followed by hundreds more this month, as businesses join garden centres, furniture stores, car showrooms, petrol stations, dry cleaners and mechanics, who have all remained open during the pandemic.

Restaurants, including fast food outlets, are already one step ahead, selling takeaway meals and even pints to the public. We've got a full list of all the food places that have reopened, here.
