Rihanna has joined Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey in helping to donate $4.2million (£3.3m) to help domestic violence victims in Los Angeles during the coronavirus pandemic.
The singer, alongside her Clara Lionel Foundation, has teamed up with Jack to send the money to the Mayor’s Fund to ‘address a surge in domestic violence’ in LA while the city is on lockdown.
They are both donating $2.1million (£1.6m) each, with the money set to ‘enable to Mayors’ Fund for Los Angeles to provide 10 weeks of support for victims of domestic abuse including shelter, meals and counselling for individuals and their children,’ according to a statement announcement made on the Clara Lionel Foundation’s website.
