Rihanna & Twitter CEO Team Up for $4.2M Grant to Help Domestic Violence Victims Amid Coronavirus Lockdown

The funds will benefit domestic violence victims in Los Angeles amid the coronavirus "stay at home" order. Rihanna's Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF) and Twitter/Square CEO Jack Dorsey announced on Thursday (April 9) a joint $4.2 million grant to the Mayor's Fund for Los Angeles, helping domestic violence victims in the city amid the COVID-19 "stay at home" order.

According to a press release, the Los Angeles Housing Authority determined that approximately 90 people per week have been turned away from full domestic violence shelters in Los Angeles since the Safer at Home Order was issued.
