A partial ceasefire to allow for more than 200,000 civilians to flee the fighting in Ukraine collapsed just hours after being agreed upon, and now Russia and Ukraine are trading blame.

Ukraine says the deal involving the communities of Mariupol and Volnovakha were breached, but Russia has accused Ukrainian “nationalists” of preventing civilians of leaving.
