Sailors give captain raucous send-off after he is relieved over coronavirus letter

Sailors aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt gave a raucous farewell to their captain on April 3, hours after he was removed from command after raising the alarm about COVID-19 cases on the vessel.

Captain Brett Crozier was removed from his post after a letter he wrote warning of cases onboard the aircraft carrier, currently docked in Guam, was published by the San Francisco Chronicle.

Crozier was not accused of sending his letter to the press himself, but he did send his memo to some 20 to 30 people, according to reports.
