Scarlett Moffatt used to call the Samaritans under a fake name when trolling got bad

Scarlett Moffatt has opened up about a time she used to call the Samaritans under a fake name when trolls targeted her appearance. Cruel trolls would make comments about her nose in particular and the 30-year-old would often call the mental health helpline for support.

Under a fake name, Scarlett would chat to them for around 15 minutes. Scarlett appeared on the White Wine, Question Time podcast and explained: ‘I’d give a fake name and I’d chat for 15 minutes.

It really, really did help. ‘I was getting loads of stick. I was like: “It’s the nose I was born with.”‘ When she gets negative comments now, the star simply replies with the Samaritans number.
