Sergio Perez out of the British Grand Prix after positive coronavirus test

Sergio Perez has been ruled out of this weekend's British Grand Prix after testing positive for coronavirus. The driver was placed into isolation on Thursday after returning an inconclusive Covid-19 test result ahead of the Silverstone showdown.

The Racing Point ace, 30, was re-tested and has now discovered the outcome is a positive result. Therefore Perez, who was absent from his scheduled media duties at Silverstone on Thursday, will not be allowed to race on Sunday.
