The Pogues frontman Shane MacGowan has passed away at the age of 65.The sad news comes just one week after the musician was released from hospital after a stay in intensive care due to a brain condition, ahead of his upcoming birthday on Christmas Day.

On Thursday, November 23, Shane's wife, Victoria Mary Clarke, shared the news that Shane was out of hospital after being diagnosed with viral encephalitis last year.
