Simon Cowell's production company Syco Entertainment expects no material hit from the novel coronavirus pandemic. The company, whose TV hit franchises include The X FactorandGot Talent, said in a U.K.
regulatory filing that it "does not believe COVID-19 has materially impacted the future developments of this company." Like others in the sector, the firm has dealt with production delays though, including for the finals of Britain’s Got Talent on U.K.
TV network ITV. The firm also disclosed a lower profit for the 18-months period ended in September 2019. In its financial update, Syco reported a profit of 693,017 pounds ($883,000) for the period, compared with a profit of 38.9 million pounds ($49.5 million) in the previous period.
