An SNP MP is recovering in hospital after becoming seriously ill with Covid-19. Allan Dorans, the member for Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock since 2019, was admitted to hospital earlier this week.
The 66-year-old has today said thank you to the NHS staff who have been treating him at the University Hospital in Ayr and to the many constituents who have sent him messages.
