Squaddies at an Edinburgh barracks allegedly threw a boozy party despite a UK-wide coronavirus lockdown being enforced. The soldiers allowed at least two women to sneak into the party at the Redford Barracks on Colinton Road, as reported by Edinburgh Live.
It comes as the death toll from Covid-19 in the UK standing at 3,605 with 684 dying within 24 hours. Several Snapchat stories of the party were shared by the women with one captioning their post "who wants to hate me for breaking the isolation rules?".
It didn’t take long for furious social media users to lash out at the group for their antics after the selfie taken inside the barracks was shared on Twitter.
