A councillor has told of his heartbreak after his 85-year-old mum who had never been in hospital caught Covid-19 and died on New Year's Day.
Mohammed Amran, who is a Labour councillor, has spoken powerfully about the impact the virus has had on his family in a poignant film released by Bradford Council.
He shared his personal heartache after losing his mum and also experiencing the virus himself, Examiner Live reports. His family had been isolating to protect his son who is clinically extremely vulnerable because he has leukaemia.
But in September, Cllr Amran had to be admitted to Bradford Royal Infirmary as her had caught Covid-19 and was struggling to breathe.
