Queen Letizia talks with a group of children during her trip to San Pedro Sula, Honduras on Tuesday (December 15).
The 48-year-old royal made the trip across the ocean to visit the most affected areas that were hit by Hurricanes Eta and Iota.
She delivered humanitarian aid to a shelter in Sula Valley which was devastated by hurricanes. Letizia was accompanied by the Secretary of State for International Cooperation, Ángeles Moreno Bau, and they arrived at Coronel Héctor Moncada Air Base (La Ceiba).
There, they were received by the Spanish Ambassador to Honduras, Guillermo Kirkpatrick, and by the Director of Cooperation with Latin America and the Caribbean of the AECID, Carmen Castiella Ruiz de Velasco.
