A young Paisley man battling Covid-19 in hospital is urging people to take the deadly virus seriously before it kills more people.
Calum Wishart believes he could have died if he had not been taken to hospital as the coronavirus left him in “excruciating pain” and struggling to breathe.The 25-year-old says he has faced the “worst week of his life” and has been unable to eat for days or sleep due to the horrific symptoms.Now, from his hospital bed at the Royal Infirmary Hospital in Edinburgh, Calum says he is “terrified” to see social media posts of people flouting government rules to stay indoors.He hopes speaking out about the horrors of the virus will make people understand the consequences before more people die.Calum fears NHS will not
