Film producer Steve Bing tragically died after reportedly taking his own life. The Kangaroo Jack writer, who dated model Liz Hurley and welcomed son Damian with her, died at the age of 55 on Monday.

Reports in the US say that Steve jumped from his apartment in Los Angeles and was pronounced dead at the scene at 1.10pm. The Los Angeles Police Department have said that they're investigating the death of a man in his 50s in the Century City area of the city.

TMZ reported that Steve had been "depressed" about being isolated and the lack of human contact during the coronavirus lockdown, but it's currently unclear if this had anything to do with his apparent suicide.
