The sewing community is making scrubs bags for care homes and care workers across the Stewartry.Around 60 people have joined the Castle Douglas cluster of the NHS D&G For The Love of Scrubs Group and so far nearly 400 of their bags have been handed out.Doreen Johnston is the regional co-ordinator in Dumfries and liaises with hospitals and care homes.The Castle Douglas cluster is being co-ordinated by Gill Gallacher who also runs the Coronavirus Community Help Castle Douglas Facebook page.She said: “Our youngest, Hannah, is 13 and we have an experienced octogenarian also part of our wonderful group.
