Stranglers keyboardist Dave Greenfield dies aged 71 after contracting coronavirus

Dave Greenfield, keyboardist for The Stranglers, most famous for their hit Golden Brown, has died at the age of 71 after testing positive for coronavirus.

The musician died on Sunday evening (3 May) after contracting Covid-19 following a stay in hospital for heart problems. His bandmates confirmed the news today, as they paid tribute to Greenfield, originally from Brighton, who recently celebrated his 71st birthday on 29 March.
