Strictly Come Dancing at risk over fears hot studio could cause coronavirus to spread on set

IF Strictly Come Dancing bosses manage to get this year’s series on to our screens, it will be nothing short of a miracle. After battling Covid-19 delays and all the headaches that has brought, they have also been struggling to cope with the recent hot and muggy weather.

Rain might now have brought some respite but I hear crew on the BBC1 show have been told a key part of getting the programme out is keeping the studio below 21C.

The health-and-safety squad fear that if the scorching weather returns, the dancers will sweat so much it will add to the risk of coronavirus spreading on set.
