IF Strictly Come Dancing bosses manage to get this year’s series on to our screens, it will be nothing short of a miracle. After battling Covid-19 delays and all the headaches that has brought, they have also been struggling to cope with the recent hot and muggy weather.
Rain might now have brought some respite but I hear crew on the BBC1 show have been told a key part of getting the programme out is keeping the studio below 21C.
The health-and-safety squad fear that if the scorching weather returns, the dancers will sweat so much it will add to the risk of coronavirus spreading on set.
