New summer camps are set to be opened up for kids who have missed out on months of school, it is claimed. Education Secretary Gavin Williamson is next week expected to announce the camps - which will include sports, arts and wellbeing support - according to reports.
Reading, writing and maths classes will not be on the schedule, it is claimed. It is expected that the government will this week clarify its plans for reopening secondary schools after the summer.
According to The Times, The Oasis Trust, which runs academies across the UK, will be running a camp in Waterloo, London. Retired teachers will be urged to help.
