SUZANNE Shaw has completed a staggering 19-hour run - without stopping - to raise over £8,000 for the Samaritans. The singer suffered post-traumatic stress disorder after the dramatic collapse of pop group Hear’Say in 2002 and used booze and sleeping pills as a crutch throughout much of her twenties and thirties.
But now, 18 months after ditching alcohol and taking up running, the 39-year-old has run 60 miles in a charity marathon to raise awareness of the importance of looking after your mental health. "It hasn’t really sunk in yet that it is over!" Suzanne said at the finishing line after running 60 miles.
