If you’ve been unlucky in love and you’re looking to turn that around in 2024, a simple red manicure might just be the answer to all your romantic problems.

According to beauty and wellness platform, Fresha, searches for ‘red nails’ have surged by 160% in the past 12 months, alongside searches for the ‘red nail theory’ rising by 158%, largely thanks to Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez’s manicure choices.

Although there is no real scientific evidence behind this claim, this theory blew up on TikTok, with hundreds of users testing this 'red nail theory' out and the 'red nails' hashtag reaching over 1.6 billion searches.
