The Mandalorian director posts first look at Baby Yoda in Disney+ season 2 – gushing over ‘biggest star in the universe’

THE Mandalorian director has offered a first look at Baby Yoda ahead of the release of series two. Despite the coronavirus forcing virtually all TV shows to stop filming, but the latest show in the Star Wars franchise is still on track to release the next installment on Disney+ this October.

Director Robert Rodriguez took to Twitter to post the snap of the adorable character, who looks set to steal the show in the new series.

The 51-year-old captioned the pic: "I am truly humbled to say I have now had the very rare privilege of directing the biggest star in the universe. @StarWars #TheMandalorian #MayThe4th #StarWarsDay." The filmmaker beamed as he posed alongside the tiny puppet, who had its wands on full display.
