Thieves posing as NHS workers conned a vulnerable woman into letting them into her home to spray the bedroom to "remove Covid-19".
Armed with fake IDs and wearing plastic aprons, masks, surgery hats and scrub-like clothing the man and woman knocked on their victim's door.
During the incident, at around 7.45am on July 17 in West Derby, Liverpool, the pair asked for a £10 donation before ordering the occupant to leave the room for half an hour.
But after 45 minutes they hadn't reappeared and the victim found they had stolen cash and a cardboard box containing medication.
