A 90-year-old man from Lancashire has beaten coronavirus. William Dobie, from Lytham, tested positive for COVID-19 after being treated for a urine infection at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, LancsLive reports.
The pensioner was put in the intensive care unit, before being moved to the isolation ward. He's now been discharged. He described the time he spent in hospital as 'worrying', but praised the 'amazing' care he received from NHS staff.
William, who was formerly captain of Lytham Gold Club, said: “I went in because I had a urine infection, but they tested me for coronavirus and it proved positive. “I was originally in intensive care originally but then moved to the isolation ward and treated superbly. “It was a bit of a worrying time
