Children across the UK have started going back to school today as the coronavirus lockdown eased. ITV's This Morning went to a school in Stratford-upon-Avon to see how this was working in practice as they went into a year six classroom.
Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 pupils are allowed to go back to school for the first time in 10 weeks, though many parents have decided to keep their children at home amid fears of a second wave of coronavirus infections.
The pupils on today's show were in a small class as they sat in rows and each had their own desks. Their teacher Mrs Elizabeth Swanwick admitted everyone was 'nervous' but it everything had gone well as the children maintained social distancing.
