Red Bull Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann appeared to concede defeat in his battle to keep Timo Werner at the club on Monday evening, saying he "can't think of anything to say" that will make him stay.
Werner scored as Leipzig came from a goal down to beat Cologne 4-2 in an entertaining German top-flight clash, with the result moving Nagelsmann's side up to third in the table.
Hosts Cologne had taken the lead when Jhon Cordoba struck in just the seventh minute, but by half-time it was Leipzig who were ahead courtesy of strikes from Patrik Schick and Christopher Nkunku.
Werner struck his 31st goal of the season in opening moments of the second half, with that strike quickly followed by Anthony Modeste and Dani Olmo sharing goals at either end
