RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner would be willing to join Manchester United but only if his proposed move to Liverpool fails, according to reports.

While United would ideally like to add a playmaker, winger and centre-midfielder to their squad this summer - as the club look set to pursue their top targets despite the financial uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus outbreak - a new striker may also be on the agenda.

Odion Ighalo was drafted in as a short-term solution to United's lack of options in attack in January but, although the club are hopeful of the Nigerian extending his loan in order to complete the interrupted season after his surprise success, there are no plans to make the deal a permanent one.
