Tottenham inform Barcelona of Philippe Coutinho transfer stance

Tottenham have told Barcelona they are willing to sign Philippe Coutinho but only under special circumstances. The Brazil international has had a turbulent time since trading life at Liverpool for Catalonia in 2018.

The 27-year-old will see his loan spell at Bayern Munich come to an end in the summer and the Bavarians will not take up the option to sign him permanently.

And Barcelona have told him that he is no longer wanted at the Nou Camp. It follows their decision to grant Antoine Griezmann his favoured No7 shirt.

But Coutinho is finding suitors tough to come by despite his undoubted talent, with his agent Kia Joorabchian sounding out possibilities.
